Brett Dakin grew up in London and has lived in Washington, Tokyo, Vientiane, Vienna, Sarajevo, and The Hague. Brett is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, where he was editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal.

His writing has appeared in the International Herald Tribune, The Washington Post, and The Christian Science Monitor. Brett is currently writing a book on comic books and communism in post-war America. He lives with his wife in New York City.
